How it all began…
<\/strong>Wendy, who loves sewing, was making a few kiddie outfits for gifts, using the vibrant 3 Cats Shweshwe fabric and her Doctor son, Andrew, saw what fabric she was using and asked her to make him Scrub tops in the Shweshwe.\u00a0 The rest is history\u2026!\u00a0<\/p>\n

How did we decide on the name?
<\/strong>We are crazy animal lovers, and in particular, we adore Dachshunds.\u00a0 At the start of this little business, we had 3 Dachshunds \u2013 Abigail, our old girl who was already 16, Dennis, our rescue Dapple Dachshund who is around 4 years old and a total sweet pie and Luna our beautiful miniature brown baby, who is 2 years old.\u00a0 Sadly, Abigail went to live with the doggie angels in February 2021, but these 3 precious darlings were the inspiration behind the name and logo, thanks to Dr Andrew who suggested it!<\/p>\n

What is the difference between our Scrubs and all the other Scrub manufacturers out there?
<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The difference between Hotdog Scrubs and other Scrubs companies is that first of all, we are not a factory and so each garment is handmade with love and care.\u00a0 We have also decided that where possible, we will tailor the scrubs for a better fit.\u00a0 Of course, this does mean extra effort and time, so perhaps we aren\u2019t the cheapest on the market, but tailoring the scrubs is more flattering.\u00a0 We do ask our customers for a lot of measurements in order to get the tailoring as perfect as possible, and so far our customers have been thrilled with the end results of their orders.\u00a0 Wendy just loves creating different looks for each customer and caps, masks and now pants have been added to the range.\u00a0 Ashleigh, Wendy\u2019s daughter is in charge of Marketing, Social Media advertising, promotions and Photography and Michael, Wendy\u2019s husband is the Website Designer.\u00a0 Connie, our housekeeper, is not part of the manufacturing team, but she plays a vital role in keeping the home running and cooking, while we are all madly busy creating special scrub outfits!<\/p>\n

Future plans
<\/strong>We are thankful and blessed, that our little home business, which started slowly, is going so well and we are looking at employing at least one more seamstress for now, to assist in the making of the scrubs, so watch this space as we embark on a new exciting path!<\/p>\n\n\n
